Anyone have a DSLR camera like the T3 or T4, etc, that when you are
shooting video, you can use the eye piece instead of the LCD screen to
view while shooting. I tried one in the store today and when I went to
video, the eyepiece didn't work... Any input, did I do something wrong?

I have a T21 and a later model, the T5i, and both switch the view from
the eyepiece to the LCD screen when shooting a movie. I don't do much
"moviemaking," so I never explored why it does that or whether you can
prevent the switch to the LCD screen, but my guess is you cannot. Making
videos requires more info on the screen, I suppose.

The T2i is for sale, if anyone is interested. Perfect condition.

Will the proceeds go to the government as partial payment for your debts
to society?

Didn't realize until after I bought my new Nikon D5200 that you can only shoot HD video in 'live view....that is using the LED screen, not the eyepiece.
I may not have bought the camera if I realized that before the purchase.

Some of the best product reviews these days are on amazon.com, and
since they are now selling just about everything, there are also
reviews on just about anything you could want. I always read some of
the negative reviews first, looking for tidbits of informatation on
hidden gotchas.

Settings. It's as simple as that, you have it set to video from the lcd
only.

Just looked, it seems the T3 doesn't have the capability to shoot video
with the eyepiece.

If you wanted the capability to do so, perhaps you should have actually
learned a little about the camera before you bought it.....
