Harvesting

I remember years ago driving to a gig in Santa Cruz from Point Reyes.
Along the coast road there were miles of lettuce fields and in them
hundreds of people bent over harvesting the crops. It was then I
realized that without these workers, I would not be eating lettuce or
any other fruits and vegetables that were on my table nightly. So this
labor day, I offer my respect to those who have the strength and the
stamina to bring in the harvest so that we may eat. I hope that you and
your children will find a way to make a home in this beautiful land in
which all us in some way are immigrants.

And to all the workers here in America who have enriched our lives with
their labor, I offer my heartfelt thanks and gratitude.

I was just in Santa Cruz and witnessed those same fields just off the
ocean. Beautiful.

FKNA !
Well said

My wife built over 100 houses and without the Latinos, it would have
gone slower at a lower quality.

This is the crew that did all the demo and masonry on my addition.

They weren't the cheapest option, just the best one. Poncho got $65
an hour to split with his guys.

But those that contribute to the wealth of our country by their
industry are used as political tools for shortsighted fools.

It would stand believable if you'd written that line, Krause. Sure as hell you wouldn't be picking your own dinner.

However, it is reasonable that you would find yourself "bent over" especially in the presence of JPS.
