Went to take the runabout for a spin yesterday after not using it for
6 months or so, and discovered that the outdrive is stuck about halfway up. It will go farther up but not down. The hydraulic resevoir is full, the pump sounds like it is running OK in both directions but no downward motion, even when standing on the outdrive. Any suggestions? |

Drain a little fluid from each arm and make sure it's clean. Run the drive all the way up then coat pistons with oil. Try to lower the drive. You might have to stand on it to get it moving. You should have stored the drive in the full down position. You'll probably be OK. If not, holler back for help. |

Smear some K-Y or some other lube of your choice on the exposed pistons, and then sit on top of the drive to force it down while someone actuates the switch. |

I see you read my last reply to Wayne already. |

Any suggestions? --------------------------------------- Trim sensor bad or connections corroded? Been a long time since I had an I/O but I remember having some similar issues with one and it was the trim sensor wiring. FlaJim determined what the problem was and fixed it. |
