I have two and a half boats, including my half share in a canoe.
I have three now. My wife came home with a pair of kayaks yesterday.

I wouldn't mind having a kayak. :)

Every year since the old Magnum PI series, I've thought about buying a 'sit on kayak'. Then I come to my senses. I think sitting almost flat like that for any length of time might be tiresome.

You watch a hell of a lot of television and it is evident by all of your
references. Go enjoy your short boating season, skipper...

I wouldn't mind watching you trying to fit into one, that's for sure!

I have no problem getting into or out of a standard kayak, or righting
one that has tipped over with me in it.

I'm 6'1-1/2" tall and weigh 205 pounds. As far as I know, the only
person here who has seen me was Herring, and that was 10 years ago, when
I weighed about 255.

Well, then you've shrunk in length.......

Not where it counts.

I've seen videos of those boards and they are available at our local Costco.
I wonder how hard it would be to paddle in 1-2 foot waves?

Very hard, flat water only based on what I've seen. They've become
very popular at Caribbean resort beaches. I have fond memories of a
good looking young lady paddling one in her birthday suit at Orient
Beach in St Martin. Sorry no pictures, wife was making it difficult
for fine arts photography that day.

Too bad, I imagine a few of us would have enjoyed those photos... or video.

I have 2 sit on tops. Both are not uncomfortable. The Hobie is nicer to
use, as the Ocean Kayak Aegean tandem is a little squirrely. I may buy
another Outback for the wife, as she loves mine.

I watch them surf the small sets at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz on the SUP's.

I think we all have to do a little yard work now and then, although I

I guess it is just an anthropological need, harking back to man's
first attempts at agriculture 8000 years ago.

I try to keep that devil down in the hole as much as I can. ;-)

If this sun holds I am blowing off mowing the lawn for a 3d day of
boating in a row. The grass will still be there monday.

If I don't cut the lawn grass every four or five days during the season,
it becomes a real pain in the ass for my lawn tractor, and I cut the
grass high, too. As far as the hole digging for plantings goes, my wife
wants it done. End of discussion.

I guess I am going to have to strain the tractor tomorrow. We went
out in the boat again.
We did hit one of those little tropical showers that blew through in
about 5 minutes.
I saw it coming so I had us in a place where I could throttle up to
the wind speed and stay dry under our umbrella.
Then the sun came out and it was beautiful.

I guess I will do my yard chores tomorrow. I still have another stone
cabinet door to do too and I am reorganizing the garage.

----------------

I need to go though the garage also. Tomorrow is the heater / AC guy coming
to give an estimate on a new outlet for the family room as well as check the
hvac. Tuesday is replacing the last 4 windows in the house that are not
double pane. Maybe Weds for the boat.
