I've got a chipmunk problem. Little *******s are tunneling under the porch and climbing up the corner pieces on the vinyl siding. That makes the dog start trying to take off the siding. BAR is right, just a ball point refill Two tricks, drill a tiny hole up in the pointy end just past where the refill stops so it can breathe and open it up inside with a piece of coat hanger wire that you beat a little flat on one end. Use epoxy paste or good old JB Weld to hold it in place . You need a pretty big horseshoe crab and they are getting harder to find. There is some commercial taking of them and the habitat is being hurt so they are becoming a species of special concern. Fortunately they shed their shell in a molt so no crab was harmed in this project. In fact if this wasn't a molted shell, getting the tail hollowed out would be harder. I remember when I was a kid spending summers on the FL west coast and horseshoe crabs and their shells were everywhere. |
