Default sailing/scuba watch

Don't give up hope! I have a watch (that I seem to have misplaced) which
contains all the functions you've listed. It is fully water proof. I use
it for diving, flying, sailing. However, it's not a dive computer. (I
suspect that is not what you are looking for). Since I last remember
using
it on our boat, that is probably where I've left it. I don't recall the
name of the manufacturer, but I seem to recall it costing around $300.00.
If I should make a trip to our boat soon and locate the watch, I'll post
another message of the name.

I would like to find a watch that I can use for both sailing and diving.
I
would like a compass and barometer. An altimeter is cool too, but I
could
do without. A count-down timer would be great. As far as diving, all
I
need is a bottom timer and durability. I don't do mixed-gas, I don't
(intentionally) do decompression dives.

Does anyone have suggestions on a good watch?

I love some of the Suunto watches, but there is nothing that fits the
bill
as described above. The closest thing I can find is the Observer. It
is
water resistant to 100m (330ft), has a compass, barometer and
altimeter.
Unfortunately, the manual says "this is not a dive watch, the
buttons should
not be used when diving."

Has anyone out there used the Observer or similar Suunto watches for
diving?

None of their dive watches feature compasses or barometers

Thanks,

Brien
