Anyone know where I can get parts for a Renault RC8D marine diesel (single
cylinder, 8hp)?

Is it possible to get a rebuilt engine? Is there a Renault Marine Dealer
active in the US?

If you could access the yellow pages online, you could go to Montreal or
Paris and find a dealer, I'll bet.

good day... i am the former renault marine service manager.. the rc8d is a base motor from HATZ diesel.. the base motor is a "E673" the cylinder and head assy were manufactured by renault marine in france. the marine factry was sold out to NANNI diesel some years ago.. the hatz parts can be purchsed in the usa at any HATZ dealer.... post any questions you may have.

yes and no. the base engine is a HATZ E673 most of the engine parts were used . Renault marine cast and machined the cylinder and head . those parts are difficult to get but th4 rest is not a problem. the transmission is from Renault also and there are no parts for it available. as the former national service manager . I taught my dealers how to repair and maintain these engines. scott rvb at yazzz dot com. yahoo
