Carnival Triumph broke loose from dock at Ala. shipyard The Carnival Triumph -- the cruise ship that lost propulsion in the Gulf of Mexico in February with thousands of passengers stranded aboard with backed up toilets and limited food -- broke loose from its moorings at a shipyard in Mobile, Ala. The ship is being controlled by harbor tugs and is not floating around uncontrolled, according to Judith Adams of the Alabama Port Authority. Three people fell into the water, according to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office. At least one person has been transported to the hospital, according to the Mobile Fire-Rescue Twitter page. A storm blew through the area earlier in the day. |
