Many of the settlers who came to Israel in the late 1940s were Jews expelled from Arab lands in the area. Most of the Arab sheiks, despite their riches, do little to support the Palestinians. They don't want them, either, because they are viewed as a disruptive influence. |

It is the reconquest by the jewish people of the ancestress home. ------------------------ It was also home to Arabs. Was not a Jewish only region.
