Old fart still shopping

I started out looking for my first cruiser in the C&C listings but got
discouraged at the prices in the 30-32' range.

I have come across what appear to be better values for a newbie in the
form of a 30' Newport. One is for sale within 200 miles and show nice on
the web listing.

My question is.........does this hull have any inherent faults a new guy
wouldn't be aware of that could ruin good resale value when I want to
step up in a year or two.

In other words, are there any lemons known to all, except the poor
sucker going in for the first time. (buyer beware stuff)

Thanks for all replies

Gord--

I really don't know much about Newport boats specifically, but I have
noticed they are substantially lower priced than other makes. I'd have to
say there must be a reason for this, so as the "emptor" I'd be mighty
"caveat."

Always get a Surveyor if you interested in buying a boat.
