There are still a dozen people here who hate my guts because I led the majority that voted down trying to reinstate deed restrictions and a lien based HOA. (the original covenants expired in 1978) It actually was not even close, more than 2 to 1 against. I wouldn't mind rules on common areas as you say, that just makes sense if you have those sorts of areas. My neighbor couldn't wait to get out of his, his family didn't even use the pool, because there were so many unattended wild kids that it just wasn't fun to go there. |

Yep, on the internet. I've given several examples of why it's a bad idea to give ANY of your personal information (including your real name) to anyone in the world that has internet access. So, here you go, please show me one bit of data or an article that suggests that it's a prudent and good idea to give out your name or any personal information via the internet. I doubt ID thieves are fishing for victims on rec.boats. It would make a lot more sense to go to the property appraiser's web site in any state. There is some real information there, particularly if you click the court clerk link on those property records. Then you get mortgage information, lien holders, banks etc. Yeah, but when there are fools who publish their names etc it sure makes it easy. |
