I've seen moose, out in the wild. Oh brother... really? Right... Unlike you, I don't have to wear an ankle bracelet and stay within the boundaries of my home state. I saw my first moose in 1970 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, outside of Escanaba. Yeah, and living in Maryland, which is quite close to Amish PA country, you never heard of scrapple until you went to Florida..... |

My first wife didn't serve it. Never saw it, noticed it or smelled it cooking until I was in NE Florida. My lack of knowledge about scrapple has nothing to do with Maryland. I knew about it *before* we settled in Maryland. You're one of the boys here who has serious problems comprehending sentences or paragraphs that contain more than one thought or complex thoughts. In that way, you're on the same intellectual plane as your good buddy, Snotty. |

Yup. I remember when they thought Clinton and Rockville were long commutes. My house in Clinton was behind a big tobacco field and there was almost a mile of woods behind the house. Out there in Cawl'vert county you only had fishermen, farmers and a few "horsey" people. I am always amazed when I drive through Maryland now. I still remember Oxon Hill being out in the country. Fortunately, we still have lots of fishermen, farmers, and horsey people. It makes a difference. Rockville is a much longer commute than it used to be, because of all the traffic, which has only gotten worse over the years. We used to head up there some weekends for a couple of restaurants we like, but the congestion is so bad, we only go into Monty County once a year, to a Greek festival. We go into Fairfax County to visit our dentist and eat at a nice Vietnamese restaurant. Otherwise, we don't go there anymore, either, again, because of the congestion. If we are heading West, we just head out on the Beltway in non-rush hours, and then Route 66. To go north, we head up to Annapolis and then to Bal'mer and I-95. |

They Amish are in Maryland. http://amishamerica.com/maryland-amish/ Yup, the Amish built my brother in law's house in Ridge, near Point Lookout. My uncle, on the Potomac River, had an addition put on to his house by the Amish. The house became so tight that they had to keep the windows cracked open to let air in. I never really heard of them up where Harry is or in Anne Arundle, PG or Chuck County. I think the Amish have the good sense to stay away from Harry. I doubt they can afford Montgomery or Frederick There are several places where you can buy Amish built sheds. The use a tow truck to bring them to you and place them in your yard. Kind of like a RORO ship. |
