Labeling Rope Clutches

I followed the lead of my auto manufacturer and memorized the controls.

My sister just got a used sail boat boat and the markings on the rope
clutches/spinlock are worn badly and she would like to use some type of
label maker to re-label them. Is this feasible? Any suggestions would

be
greatly appriciated. I was thinking of having small plates made at a

sign
shop.
Thank You

Yes, but they sure look great to the buyer when it is time to sell her. In
my opinion, this the main, though not only, reason to use them; from
personal experience, they could increase the sale price as much as $200!

You can buy ready made labels at most Chandleries, including big chains

such as
West Marine & BoatUS. Not expensive at all, and very readable.

Although memorizing is good, and most sailors don't need labels for their

own
benefit, most experienced sailors keep labels on things like this to make

for
less confusion when invited crew are aboard.
