White Males ================= I just responded to BAR with a suggestion: There seems to be one common denominator that these deranged people exhibit. They all seem to be looking for their day in the spotlight .... to be noticed and recognized. Most commit suicide knowing that their name and existence will become known to the nation. It's not a difficult stretch to conclude that the recognition and notoriety that one person gets leads to other unstable people doing similar things. So, let's stop publicizing their names and the details of their actions, problems and lives in the media. Stop giving them the attention that motivated them to begin with. Having cable news networks commit 5 days of non-stop coverage, analysis, "expert" reports and investigation does nothing but encourage the next nut to become famous. |

All these senseless, mass murders all seem to be similar in how they are conducted with suicide often involved. As previously stated, we will never be able to identify and treat everyone with a mental illness. We will never be able to rid the country of guns. So stop the common denominator, i.e. excessive media attention on them. |
