Didn't anyone wonder why a guy, armed to the teeth, in a
crowded mall at Christmas, during the height of Christmas shopping
season, only managed to kill two people before turning the gun on
himself??? Sheeple, really??

This man, Nick Meli, is why, and hes a true Hero as far as we are
concerned. He is a CCW holder in Oregon and he confronted a psychotic
murderer at the Clackamas Town Center mall last week, thus saving an
unknown number of innocent lives.

Nick saw what was happening, took cover and then drew down on the
suspect. Nick held his fire though, because the background wasn't clear
and he feared he might hit an innocent person. But he was willing and
that made a profound difference.

Nick's actions made the killer retreat into a stairwell and kill
himself, like the coward that he was.

Well done, Nick Meli, you're a hero.

We want to meet you and shake your hand, sir.

There isn't a shred of evidence the gunman even noticed Meli.

"Nick Meli was at Clackamas Town Center on Tuesday when Jacob Tyler
Roberts opened fire, killing two and seriously injured another.

Meli said he, too, was armed with a gun. He told The Oregonian early
Monday outside his two-story home in Clackamas that he trained his
weapon on Roberts.

But he said he didn’t shoot.

Meli said he was worried about hitting an innocent bystander.

Roberts sprayed bullets with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle near the food
court, killing Steve Forsyth, 45 of West Linn, and Cindy Yuille, 54 of
Northeast Portland. Roberts seriously injured Kristina Shevchenko, a
15-year-old teen who lives in Southeast Portland with her family.

Roberts, 22, then walked down a hall and steps and shot himself to
death, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Meli, also 22, said he was with three friends and a child at the mall.
He declined to comment further.
