I am looking to buy my first sailboat. Its a 1977 Luger 16Ft. Leeward. The
guy wants $700.00 for it and trailor. Is this a good boat? Good for a
beginner? and is it worth the money? Thanks

If it floats and he/she can show you how to rig it (= everything is there)
the price is right. My first sailboat was a 500.00 job. I invested about
another 1,000 as I learned what made it work and when I hit something hard I
didn't cry about it, just learned from it. Then the fun begins as you start
to trade up!!! Be sure to take some instruction, Private, Red Cross,
whatever!

Be careful, I loved it so much I left my day job and now run boats for a
living!
