A truly pretty day

Decided to take the Tolman out on the St. Marks River here in NW FL cuz some of my sailing friends were rafted up upriver. In my yard, could not get the damn thing to start. Fuel was no ethanol with Stabil, had run the carb dry too. Played with the manual fuel enrichment toggle thingy under the cowling (Yamaha 90 hp) and got her running. So, off we go to the river.

Going up river, she was running rough, wouldnt run at idle either. A mile or so upriver we stopped to look at a gator and she would barely start. Decided it was best to go home and figure it out. Got all the way back to the landing and then remembered, I forgot to reset the fuel enrichment thingy to "normal". Sho nuff, that was it.

With engine running good, went upriver and found friends. Leaves are turning including the cypress so it was really nice.

Sometimes it is the simplest things that can shut you down. Glad all
went well...eventually.

Glad all worked out. I got in a round of golf yesterday...beautiful weather...and a great way to
spend the Veterans Day Holiday.
