A good few paragraphs:

You had to wonder about Fox. This is the third presidential election in
which Fox has been a major player, and the Democrats have won two of
them. A combination of big money and big propaganda was supposed to
carry the day for Romney and the Republicans, but it didn't.
Could it be that the Fox model has played out? Could it be that the lack
of civility and grace, the embrace of the most extreme candidates as
long as they were Republicans, indeed, the whole idea behind Roger
Ailes' brainchild - a pimping station for the far right - may be
politically bankrupt?
Perhaps not financially bankrupt; it seems supported by its advertisers
very nicely. It could go on for quite some time. The question is: Is it
hurting the very people it's supposed to be helping? Does the existence
of this high-profile echo chamber deafen candidates to what the
electorate is actually saying?

I think you and the article are giving FOX too much "credit". I've personally watched maybe 30 minutes of FOX news in my life. Might have heard 5 minutes worth of Rush. What I do hear is the MSM and liberal pundits talk endlessly about them both. The folks on the left are mesmerized by them. We see that right here in this NG.

I suppose FOX does give liberals a target, and provides them with the talking points to fire their base up. In that sense they probably aren't helpful.

Not at all. Your friend Rush had a big part in it, as did Richard
Mourdock, Indiana’s Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, as did
the delegates at the Republican Convention where overturning Roe vs.
Wade became a litmus test for all prospective candidates.

exclusively the last few weeks just to be informed...

You definitely see the folks on the left mesmerized by FOX News.

Are you saying that Latinos and the "younger generation" are myths?
Probably, you ARE that stupid after all.

So what did you expect?
The more amazing thing is that he called Wayne - who with Eisboch are
the only fully rational people I see posting here - a kool-ade
drinker.
This Justwait guy will never get it. He's justa****ingnutjob.
Worse than you. You're only half nuts. OCD.

You're right about alienating women, Latinos, and the young. Through the poor, welfare recipients in
there also.

The RNC needs to get its collective head out of its ass.

Thank you, I needed that.

Damn, you're flip-flopping faster than Mitt.
You only forgot to support gay marriage.
You and the RNC might as well just become Democrats.
Isn't that a cynical sell-out of your "values?"
Seems you're in a real bad spot there.
Hope Scotty doesn't see this.
Wait a minute....
Did you mean the RNC should reverse their platform, lie, and say they
are pro-choice, pro-immigration reform, and that being poor or on
welfare is sometimes acceptable? Just pretend to be Democrats?
What the hell!?!? I don't get it. Lying won't work. You have to
produce.
I say stick up for your values! Get that chin up high!

Therein lies the problem. Nobody should have to compromise their core
values, but if their values vary significantly from the majority, they
shouldn't be surprised if they receive little acceptance and support.

I know that hurts. I don't have an answer, but there might be some
form of compromise, if possible. Perhaps not.

A tough nut to crack.

The republicans are the party of NO, there is no compromise for them,
and that's why they lost.

--------------------

We as a country are screwed as both the Dem's and Rep's are pretty much run
by ideology extremes. Not much compromise on either side. If they were for
the people, they would cut government spending a huge amount, and allow the
people to prosper. The government is taking most of the credit money now to
run government (40% of every dollar spent) and still growing it's size.
Plus with the talk of tax increases and extra fees on most business, why
would someone want to start a small business? Both parties are party's of
ME-ME.

That was worth repeating. You seem to be mesmerized.
