Done correctly, a tarp over a properly constructed frame works as well
as shrink wrap. Cheaper and greener too.

Well, I just looked at the price of the gun - $650. Maybe I'll hold off for a while.

I ordered the Navigloo Shelter from Costco when it was $50.00 off....
that is, I paid $289.00 + tax... shipping was free.

It's still in the carton waiting for my dealer to do the winterization on my new boat next week.

The directions I read said to keep a fire extinguisher very handy!

The price of the propane gun, $650, threw me. I suppose my wife's hair dryer wouldn't work too well.
I was thinking the stuff was like the wing covering I used to use on model airplanes. It's a bit
thicker!

I never have, John. I store mine inside. But if you decide to DIY
then good luck to you. You might also look on youtube, somebody's
probably posted a vid on 'how to'

Better read a little further, Tim.

"This lightweight easy to use Shrink Wrap Heat Gun is great for packaging small items. Ideal for use
in shipping areas, parts departments, and printing plants. 115V, single phase standard with a 5 foot
cord and plug. Shrink wrap film not included. "

That looks and sounds like what we used to use for model airplanes.

Now I understand the rule, never own a boat,
have a friend that owns a boat.
