I'm thinking of investing in the stuff to do my own boat. Last year the marina charged $10/ft, and now they're up to $12/foot. The supplies ran me $60 last year. Wonder what all I'd need to do my own boat? Anyone done it? Done correctly, a tarp over a properly constructed frame works as well as shrink wrap. Cheaper and greener too. |

The directions I read said to keep a fire extinguisher very handy! The price of the propane gun, $650, threw me. I suppose my wife's hair dryer wouldn't work too well. I was thinking the stuff was like the wing covering I used to use on model airplanes. It's a bit thicker! |

"This lightweight easy to use Shrink Wrap Heat Gun is great for packaging small items. Ideal for use in shipping areas, parts departments, and printing plants. 115V, single phase standard with a 5 foot cord and plug. Shrink wrap film not included. " That looks and sounds like what we used to use for model airplanes. |
