CZ Pistol Vids

Someone here the other day was asking about CZ pistols, and I commented
that I thought they were pretty good and was interested in a .45ACP
version of the CZ 75.

Here's a pretty good video on the CZ 75:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb0DgMcpXWQ

HEre's some stuff on the 97, which interests me:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-thtHIeR448

From the comment under the video:

This model was evaluated by the American magazine Soldier of Fortune in
its '99 issue as the most accurate serially produced "Combat" pistol in
..45 ACP calibre.

Here's another vid on the 97:

Is there any evidence that supports the notion that a CZ pistol is
better than it's Sig equivilent?

I have a CZ82 in the 9x18 Makarov caliber. 12+1 capacity, inexpensive, reliable, accurate, and cheap ammo. Great for general purpose plinking. Oh, and easy to disassemble for cleaning.

I'm not sure what you mean by better. SIG and CZ both make fine quality
firearms. They have significant design differences. For one thing, I
think the CZ slide/frame mating is tighter than the slide/frame mating
on a SIG but I am not sure that impacts accuracy in any measurable way.
SIG makes some fancier models, but I am not sure they shoot better than
their plainer models or the corresponding CZ offerings. Maybe if you
qualified your "better" question it would make the response easier. I
will say I see a lot more CZs in competition than SIGs.

I am going to buy a CZ 97B in .45 ACP soon and use it as my carry
defense pistol if I can. I don't much like the .40 S&W round especially
in a polymer pistol like my Glock.

Why don't you like the .40S&W? Why would you drop it for a .45 ACP?

My view is simple. I'm used to the .45 govt. "Old habits (like you)-
are too hard to break..."

Speaking of 'cheap'- I just picked up 300 rd. of 9x18 Mak. for $20.00.

An elderly friend of my parked his *cold war souvenir* Radum P-64
years ago, and was digging though an attic box and found the
cartridges.

Perfect for my Feg PA-63 Hungarian~
