O.T.Can you make purchases on line with a debit card? What?

I'm guessing there have been at least 100 posts the last few days
splitting hairs over this credit card/debit card topic. Is this sort of
way off topic posting the usual here? Why so much rancor?

We're up near the Frozen Tundra and we're still getting out on the water
before it turns solid, and then once it is really solid, we will
literally be boating on the water in iceboats when weather permits.
Aren't most of you guys in much warmer areas? Why aren't you boating or
fishing or both?

I understand this is not a moderated group and anything goes. But credit
cards? Why not women, restaurants, even football?

What you are seeing here is literally about a 0.75 on a scale of 1 - 10.
We just a week or so ago lost a 15 year poster here who decimated the
group from a couple hundred great posters, to the half dozen or so you
see here now.... We really don't know what happened to the old guy,
but your timing was just right and you missed it. Kevin and Don are
still trying to keep his spirit going, but most of us are just keeping
our fingers crossed, and our mouths shut...

Most of the disruptive element in here don't even boat.. let alone own one.
Some live a Peter Pan existance flirting around in a dream world of kiddie motorbikes, guitars, etc.
They only come here to harass real boaters.

What has the 'length' of it got to do with anything. You seem to overly concerned with the length and probably girth of 'objects'.

What do you mean by real boat?

Is this something to do with how large someone's boat is?

I like rowing boats and sailboats without engines. Is my boating less
valid because of my choices? If so, why? What sort of boat do you have
to use?

Oh, btw... I wouldn't take too seriously dons word on who does, and
who doesn't boat. He, and his lost buddy liked to set conditions as to
what qualified as a boat, and what doesn't. For instance, I was in the
boat building business for almost ten years, my work can be seen at
smallboats.com, but he and his mia partner would never consider
anything I built a boat, as it wasn't as expensive as theirs... I am
sure all of the present regulars, have at least one boat and most of
us still go out here and there... I am maybe an exception there, very
busy with a child trying to earn her pro racing license... so not too
many weekends off for me anymore.

Well, some here seem to equate the size of someone's boat to their
manhood. One of them left though.

You responded to that quite fast. Who, other than you, sits at their
computer all day long monitoring Usenet? You are afraid of something or
a sad old man with nothing to do on his last boating days of the
season. Whichever is the case, it's pathetic and rather than walking
away - you remain and continue to cause problems for yourself.
