Lost the boat....
Never really covered the boat much over the last ten years or so and it
finally gave out:( The water got in around the top edge of the plywood side, and there be a hole in the bow. So, ten years ago I spent 450 dollars on materials and paint, and had a nice boat for 45 dollars a year. Not bad. Time to build another one:) On that vein, I have been getting an itch now that Jess is starting to move beyond my capabilities to work with her... The spring I moved to take care of my dad, I was just getting the material together for a build of a 20 foot river cruiser... It might be time to bring those old lines out and take another look.. |

How big was this boat? Water (from any source) is tough on plywood - even marine plywood. |

And no, not Okume... I have an okume boat in the back yard now for over ten years with no paint or finish at all, it still hasn't rotted:) |
