A good start might be to either increase everyone's tax bill by 50
percent or a combination of tax hikes and reduced spending.
From what I hear in this newsgroup most could handle increased taxes.

WOW.....you guys ARE ****ed !!! Too much of the " You first....AFTER
me " bull****, like most Americans I've ever met exhibit.

They had better re-estimate the Tax Base for the rich quickly. Maybe
if those like Warren Buffet, and Mitt Romney STOP being allowed to "
hide " money offshore, the country " may " recover.

Greed shall be thy downfall !!!!

If I lived there, I'd be looking to move,.......... quickly !!!!!!

Raising taxes is not a slam dunk solution either, not with the economy
in the doldrums. The time for that came and went. The one sure way
to create another great depression is to suddenly cut back on
government spending and raise taxes.

It was a most enlightening vid. But, I expect the liberals will continue to believe, or at least
pretend to believe, that simply taxing the rich more would solve all our problems.

We need to get people out of this political mind set. The budget
deficit and it's related issues are not going to be solved with
simplistic political sloganeering.

It is going to be solved by the simplistic stopping of spending.

Anyone making the median income probably does not pay any income tax.
They are certainly in the low single digits.
Everyone should be paying more

Harry doesn't think rich people belong in government.

We'll have to if the government maintains its current spend rate, and
there is no sign of that coming down right away. Otherwise the debt
load will get top heavy and topple. That's what always happens. The
Fed can go on and print more money but it will become worthless for
international trade, and eventually worthless here also. There's a
good chance we'll be in World War III by then so there will be plenty
of excuses to impose austerity measures like rationing, sell Liberty
Bonds, etc.

Fasten your seat belts.

I recently saw a tv commercial that was criticizing Romney for only
paying 14% income tax. It didn't make sense to me, the poor fellow paid
$2,800,000 dollars in taxes to the federal government. I paid about
$13,000 and I get all the same benefits he gets!

That poor sucker.

He paid 215 times more than me!

It's just not fair.
