Wow. Looks like i just got spanked. Thanks Harry. LOL! Tim, nobody disputes your right to believe whatever you want. That is the beauty of America. If your beliefs give you relief and solace, I support everything about them. HOWEVER, and that is a BIG however, recently the self avowed believers in Christ have publicly announced their desire to electrocute people that don't believe what they believe, beat children that don't meet their expectations, and a myriad of other violent and distasteful attacks on perceived non-Christian thoughts and behavior. How is this different from the liberals and their actions to indoctrinate the youth of America? That is NOT American and it is NOT Christian. This sort of stuff appears here ONLY because you have some far right wing posters. (Yes, I know that Harry is a far left wing poster. No ****! Get over it or move on. Alternatively, post some left wing religious hate speech, if you can find it.) It is in the news each and every day. The left is trying to claim that the rushing through your backyard after a huge rainfall is a navigable waterway, therefore, the US government can regulate your property. Bottom line? The right wing politicians bought into the Conservative Christian movement decades ago as an expediency to gain votes. They have been spanked for this every since, but some people just can't get enough. Here is a bit of what they have had to cover up: Bottom line? The left wing politicians have been working on indoctrinating the youth of America into left wing ideology and theology through the schools for over 60 years. http://theocracywatch.org/ Just another anti-individual rights site. There are "good" Christians and "bad" Christians. That is what the non-boaters love to discuss. There are good liberals and there are bad liberals. The problem is that there are too many bad liberals posing as good liberals. Have at it. What does ANY of that have to do with the fact that the bible is a piece of fiction? A good one, mind you, that in my mind teaches good things, but, fictional just the same. |

Anyone is entitled to believe whatever religious stuff they want so long as they don't try to shovel it onto others who believe differently...or not at all. I believe the bible was written by men over the course of several thousand years, and that the old testament tells the story of a people's search for their creator and that the new testament tells the story of people who wanted a different story. The same is true with politics but that doesn't stop you, Harry. |

To the victor go the spoils. It is no different when there is a clash of religions or a clash of nations. The question, nobody has answered yet, is, is Islam as religion or a political system or is it both? Jesus said give unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's and give unto God what is God's. In Islam it is submit to Allah in all things. In terms of historical bloodthirstyness, I don't see a difference between Islam and Christianity. |

No. In some of the Christian sects, it is "submit" to the church leaders or submit to the church rules or both. As for bloodthirstyness, if you go back through history, it's pretty much a draw between Islam and Christianity. |
