Oh look. Harry is speechless. That's a good thing, I suppose. Had to fix the subject:) Just got back from a private facility where we finalized a deal on a new (to us) racebike. I can't say much except this bike was built by one of the best known race shops in the area for a Pro rider who raced it in four national events then switched to Honda and put this thing in the basement with seven and a half hours on it... Lucky Jess races in "unlimited" classes, cause when she lights this thing up for the first time at the line with it's Betty engine and FMF bomber pipe, most of the people in the division we race are gonna' have to clean their pants:) |

Funny, funny, funny...your denial of reality and your assumption that everyone who thinks you are a failure as a parent is me. As I said in a previous post, the *best* thing that can happen to your daughter now is that she'll find a nice boy with a good job, move in with him, and get the hell away from you. |

Why, do you think we don't know what can happen in our sport? What a ****ing asshole... |

But really, do you think we don't know? I have been to several fund raisers already this year and it is what it is. But there are ways to mitigate the possibility of injury, one is to ride smart. Jess was running second and third in the NESC early this season, but couldn't stay on the bike at that pace so she got smart and backed off about 4 seconds a lap... Now we have dropped out of the series to go back into seclusion and do some more work so we can come back stronger and faster next time. |

Now we have dropped out of the series to go back into seclusion and do some more work so we can come back stronger and faster next time. That's just nonsense. If it were true, there never would be any serious accidents involving really professional motor racers because they surely know how to mitigate the possibility of injury. That your kid couldn't stay on her bike while trying to be competitive *after* all these years of riding should be a clue, eh? No offense to your kid, who is probably trying as hard as she can. |
