good safe day on the water

1st safety patrol in manahawkin bay this year with USCG aux...ran from
surf city to holgate and back. only 1 problem, some idiot sailboater
anchored in the very narrow channel...was chatting on his cell phone
and refused to get off, or to move. we stayed near him, and called for
the gold side...when he heard that he weighed anchor and got underway.
nice to have a safe weekend and glad no problems...

Glad all went well, Bob.

"we stayed near him, and called for the gold side.."

^Gold Side?^ Sorry Bob but you lost me on that one. But regardless it
seems the guy was really inconsiderate and arrogant to act like he
owned the whole channel.

At least Bob is smarter than Zimmerman and knew when to call the real
authorities.

the aux wears silver, the active duty guys wear gold. so we call them
the 'gold' side.
