Ya, I don't like boats, they're just a bunch of work.
I visit here because it has active political discussion.

I visit here because in my real life I don't know or associate with
right-wing dumfochs, racists, pseudo-religious nutcases, women haters,
et cetera. This newsgroup, rec.boats, has carefully assembled quite a
number of them, and thus fulfills my interest in the sociology of
"conservatives" without having to get close enough to any of them to
risk catching their nuttiness.

For "boating" discussions of interest, there are many other venues where
there are plenty of actual boaters.

I'm glad Rec.boats is so fulfilling for you. It must be an orgasmic
experience for the krauseter.

Harry needs an outlet from saying "yes dear" and carrying his "wife's"
stuff around all day long.

Ahh...two of rec.boat's mindless right-wingers, Oscar and BAR...Oscar,
whose life highlight was chipping paint on a U.S. Navy ship during our
war against the Vietnamese people, and BertieBAR, who was so impressive
after high school, he couldn't even get into an open admissions
community college and joined the marines instead and was so incompetent
at that, he couldn't even get an overseas billet.

Gotta love this place and its right-wing dumfochs.

I suppose they are relatively harmless in here, ranting and raving
their foolishness as they do.
If this outlet wasn't available and we weren't here to attract their
bile, who knows what they'd be up to.
I feel we're providing an invaluable service to the 'merican people..
and to a lesser extent, the Canadian people.

Liberal-socialism is a great idea so long as the credit is good and
other people pay for it. When the credit runs out and those that pay
for it leave, they can all share having nothing but debt and discontentment.
