Bad day for boaters on Oahu...
 
Glad everybody made it ok, Thats still a bummer about both boats,
though.

Yeah, Hoping the seas wern't really that risky, swimming a mile to
shore could have really gotten critical, but I think they pretty well
knew the sea's layout.

shore could have really gotten critical, but I think they pretty well
knew the sea's layout.


I like that they made three teams and obviously knew their surroundings.

Looks like they were all wearing dive gear. A wet suit gives you a
certain amount of positive flotation and they probably had buoyancy
compensators also. All you have to do is drop your weight belt
and/or pump up your buoyancy compensator and you're good to go for
quite a while.
