They're just trying to earn a living and take care of themselves and their families. Agreed. Those that used to get by on subsistence farming have fallen victim to the same globalism that threatens the US. There are millions of migrant workers who subject themselves to horrible working conditions far from their families, so they can pay for food and school for the kids. Grandparents are raising the kids in a lot of farming communities so the parents can go work in a factory. Then there's the polution that goes unabated, as if the country were run by the Koch brothers. And, instead of congress being bought like it is in the US, the military are the ones handing out favors and taking the graft. |

Shame on you and your neighbors. You DO reap what you sew. Not me, brother. Personally, apart from cars, I buy everything I can from local, regional or US manufacturers, in that order. I remain in high tech and I don't see anything coming out of China that rivals what we do, unless they're copying our competitors, which I wouldn't doubt. So, you're still in the automobile business? What happens when the US pushes the market towards electric? Will you still be in the game? No, not the auto manufacturing business or supply base...that's half of what it was 20 years ago and won't come back. Autos in the US will be predominantly Asian based upon the populations propensity not to give a flying F**K about their income opportunities. Electric's will be Asian or Indian (Tata will have cars in the U.S. soon). Don't fight it - it's too late, and a result of the populations buying (and voting) habits. The rulers of the U.S. should take E Pluribus Unum off the national symbol and replace it with "where's all my free ****?" |

You are only one of many millions that screw up that way, don't feel singled out for sending your piddly wages overseas. I suppose you were one of the proud K car owners. Tell me what you're driving now... When in the U.S. a Ford Ranger with 419,900 miles on it, original engine that starts and runs like new and uses no oil. Of couse, I don't drive or maintain a vehicle in the same way most of the red necks do in the U.S. |

I have a company that supports employees who live in the US and we sell in the US but also export. We're dependent on Chinese goods for now since the technology we base our products on aren't manufactured in the states. Then you are no different, your costs are just higher. BTW, it's Jesse James, maven of history. Your words. I knew what you meant but, since we're playing by your ****y rules, I'll make sure to point those details out to you. I'm impressed that you caught that tongue in cheek shot. Most poster's here wouldn't. |

I buy the best available, from wherever it comes from, for personal use. That's never China. I buy the Z"cheapest" for export (to the U.S.) because "Americans don't care - they pay just under standard U.S. retail for junk and, as Walmart tell them, its a low price. Part of the status is due to your government running the "educational" system. I don't buy Japanese because of their tyrannical trade practices. No one in the U.S. needs Japanese products (autos, capital equipment, automation), but you relentlessly send them your money. That's reflected in your, and your offspring's opportunities to make a high wage (except for medical, insurance and investment scams). |
