Default Algonquin Park (Barron River) and portaging a sea kayak

As much as I want to try this river (Barron River in Algonquin Park) I am a
little concerned about portaging a sea kayak -Nautaraid Raid II- as some of
the portages are 400 meters and this kayak weighs about 70 lbs and is not
exactly easy to carry. There will be two of us but over rocky terrain maybe
a little more difficult than I wish.

Any opinions or those who have tried this?

Cheers,

Brett

I would suggest that you either rent a light-weight canoe for this trip or
invest in kayak portage gear. Ottawa Valley Canoe & Kayak is on the way
and have rentals as well as kayak gear for sale.
