does this sound legitmate?
"Josh" wrote in message om... Use Western Union, then you'll both be protected. Better safe than sorry. HUH!!!!????? Sellers insisting on Western Union is one of the biggest internet scams around. Western Union may be a great way of sending money to someone, but they do not provide any protection to esnure the buyer gets what he pays for. In this instance, where the seller is the one concerned about a scam, it might be a good way to work. (But if I was the buyer and the seller suggested using Western Union, I'd decline.) With Western Union, the recipient will get his money; it's the buyer who has no protection. The common scam there is that the seller convinces the buyer that by changing a name or something, he can ensure the money isn't transmitted until the merchandise arrives. This is a documented scam. -Paul |
