SOT or sit in for hot Fla weather?

Hi all
Do you think that a sit in, with a (breathable) skirt on, would be a
bad choice for hot Florida summer days, or a good insurance against
the sun?

I drive a sit in type of kayak all the time in the Florida summer. I
hardly use a sprayskirt at all, except when it is raining. The shade
provided by a sit in as opposed to a sit on top is something I find
extremely valuable. I own both types, and have used both types. If I'm
going to be exiting the craft a lot (especially in the water) the sit on
top wins. An open deck might be a bit cooler in the summer, but I don't
find the difference to be worth the lack of shade.
