Alumacraft Quetico 17' Canoe

I'm in the process of determining the value of a canoe. What would the
value of one be?

It is an older model with the 0.90" hull thickness. Still in very good
shape. Does not leak at all.

I'll probably sell it next spring when the values rise up a bit again.

Al, used canoes generally go for about 2/3 the retail price (with the
usual caveats...highly sought after models may go for a bit more, or
boats in immaculate condition or boats that come with some
accessories...models with little demand or in well used condition go
for less, etc).

I believe a new Quetico 17 runs about $800 (you may want to check
that), so the 2/3 retail calculation would be $480, although the
market price for used aluminum canoes is probably less than the
"normal" 2/3 retail more common for plastic or composite canoes.

A used canoe is worth whatever someone will pay for it; maybe ask
$400-$450 and be willing to negotiate.
