Green grunge
 

Just pull a small sea ray out and didnt belive the green grunge (for
the want of a better word) on the bottom and power washed much as i
could. Still a light green ammount left and looks like a weekend of
scrubbing. I tried checking archive for ideas but grunge didnt come
up. Please would anyone give some pointers on a solution to use to
help remove this; and to clear product i could apply to help stop this
next year. TIA, best regards...

The short answer, poison bottom paint. YMMV about legality in your location.
You must be a lake person, that would be crusty barnicles around here.
At least your green algea washes off. Try a splash of watered down bleach.

Try Sno-Bol. The toilet bowl cleaner works wonders and is inexpensive.
Recommended to me by a local gel coat - fiberglass man.

Best thing to cut the algae on your hull is a solution of water and muriatic
acid (the same stuff used for swimming pools). Be sure and wear eye
protection, long sleeves (on a shirt that you never intend to wear again),
latex gloves, and a respirator, if you have one. It's a crappy job, but it
will cut the algae like nothing else. If you intend to slip your boat next
season, you can save yourself this grief for next year by getting your hull
painted with anti-fouling paint. It's the only real answer.

acid (the same stuff used for swimming pools). Be sure and wear eye

will cut the algae like nothing else. If you intend to slip your boat next
season, you can save yourself this grief for next year by getting your hull

It's not a real critical thing. I'd start out with about a 25% acid to
water solution and see how that does. If you've got some tough areas that
need some extra punch, try 50/50. You'll see the acid go to work right
away. It foams. Once the foaming is done, that acid has been pretty much
neutralized. You'll still need to scrub with a 3M type pad. A pressure
washer is a handy thing to have as well.

Remeber to always add Acid to Water, not vice versa. A before W, acid into
water. If you do it the other way around, it'll blow up in your face.
