Extended Gauley releases/reservoir level???

The corps has been dumping a lot of water this week. Does anyone know
how full the reservoir remains and whether round the clock releases
on Gauley weekends and/or releases during the week are being
considered?
Thanks.

The last word from the Raft Companies is that the COE will release 15000 cfs
today,
then cut back to 4000 cfs for Saturday and Sunday. Thats almost a 1/3 higher
than a normal release.

The COE normally releases from Summerville the same amount of water that is
coming into the lake to maintain a constant pool. It will be approx. the same
as
the Craigsville gauge on the Gauley. From the present levels and the fact that
they are not releasing the full inflow, my guess is that you will have paddling
levels all week.
