leaking carb

The bottom carb on my '85 Evenrude 70 HP is leaks fuel badly when I
squeeze the pressurizing bulb on the tank fuel line. I'm thinking it is
a float valve problem. Does that sound correct or are there other
possibilities? What needs to be done?
Thanks in advance.
Jerry

Sounds right to me, take apart, clean, replace if worn.
