"our" summer fun for sure. Several races have already been
canceled by
different divisions and we are only three weeks into the summer

Doubtful. If people are at job risk, lost income -- they will eventually
spend less on optional items in their life. Including boat races.

I don't have any, but I recognize that Snotty had none, either. I
offered a guess or two...he blamed it on the price of gas. It might well
be that, but no evidence was offered.

He was making a political statement. I am not.
