Can you say...
....eneloop?
Eneloops are Sanyo's brand of rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. I just pulled my small boat flashlight out of the toolbox, where it has been sitting for more than a year. Flashlight seems as bright as ever, even with that amount of storage. The four AA batteries in my camera flash have been recharged 93 times so far. So far, so good. The newest eneloops are said to be good for 1500 charges. The AA size eneloop is about $2.00 each. |

They have been on the market for quite a number of years. In fact NiMH batteries have been "in flight" for a couple of decades. |
