He stepped right into that one.
Must be something about you that really, really ticks him off.
Or maybe it's Arianna Huffington cashing in big time on capitalism.

Anything political in this group ticks me off, right wing, left wing,
middle of the road. *It doesn't belong here, only leads to food fights
and more bad behavior. *We've proved it time and again. * People who
have nothing to contribute about boats and boating don't belong here
either. *That seems to fit Ms. D'plume/Harry to a tee.

I think you're either a liar or deluded. You rarely have anything to
say about the plethora of racist/political posts floating around.

Possibly because he'd rather talk about "boating?"

Your opinion does count but not for much.

Apparently, you and a couple of the dedicated stalkers hang on my
every word.

Wayne obviously is not used to females with a backbone.

Yes, finding one in here is very rare. And lately they've been non-
existent.

When it is critical, seniority counts.

Seniority in a union just means you have managed to stick around for a
long time. It says nothing about the quality of your work or your
competency.

Seniority in the marines just means you re-enlisted.

Seniority in the military means you have been around and done quite a
lot of things. For officers if you make O-6 before 18 years in you are
on the fast track. If you haven't made it by 22 years you are just
marking time before you retire.

In the military seniority means you have been exposed to quite a bit of
stuff. My cousin is finally getting a battalion. He has been at NATO for
the last 18 months and he has been in Afghanistan for two tours and Iraq
for two tours. He is well on his way to O-6 and beyond.

Don't forget about enlisted time for us draftees!!

One of my favorite Marine officers was an E-6 and was offered E-7 or
OCS. He thought long and hard about it and finally went to OCS. He had
already received his BSEE and was well on his way to his MSEE.

I used to have a higher opinion of the military before I encountered
you, Herring, and flajim here.

How many times are you going to repeath that stupid response.

For as long as it is relevant. It may be stupid to you, but it is part
of the reason why my opinion of the military has deteriorated.

I have a plastic Metro card with about $18.00 on it. It'll get me from
Suitland Metro to downtown and back at least four times. Your
discharge from the marines wouldn't get me a cup of watered-down
coffee from MdDonalds.

Hey fella. Cherish that plastic metro card if that's all you have to
hang on to.

...and if it hadn't been for the Marines, Harry'd be speaking Japanese.

Actually, by now, he'd long been beheaded.

If it weren't for the military, you and a lot of other people would be
speaking German right now. Try to remember that.
