....and then the Japanese, and French Ocean Trawlers come along, and
scoop up EVERYTHING in their paths with their Purse Seine Nets. What
do our Governments do about it?

**** all.

The " quota " thing has been going on , and effectively put the Great
Lakes fleets out of business. The Ministry claims the Lakes were being
" over-fished", which was bull****. According to those Skippers who
were able to survive the " quota cutbacks " say that they see tons of
fish on their Side-Scan Sonar. I have personally seen catches of 80
Jumbo Perch EACH in a Boat from about 4 hours of stationary fishing.

The Lakes were given over to the " Weekend Warriors " dragging their
Cannonballs through nets effectively making them "ghost nets".

Most of the fools out there couldn't see a jug, or net ID pole if they
tried. And , in the end, the Commercial guys are blamed.
