When I click your links, photobucket says they're nonexistent. I've
never really been around Kayak's before, so i really dont' know much
about them. a school mate of mine lives in Oregon and has a Molokai
And really enjoys it a lot. From what I've seen on the youtube vids,
they seem a bit noisy to me, but look like they'd be entertaining.
But to me, they're also costly for what they are.

i dont' see how a kayak would make a good fishing craft, but that's
jsut me.

How about a motorized canoe?[/i][/color]

I see lots of guys fishing from kayaks in the river and they usually
do OK on the little jacks and grunts but it is fun watching them try
to pull a bull red out of the mangroves.
It can be like those whale boats in Moby Dick until they break off.
You surly don't want a higher pound test than you can hold abeam
without going over.
Get out in a little deeper water, hook up a black tip and you might be
the bait.

I kayak fish. Biggest I have landed is about 10# lingcod. But lots of the
SoCal guys land thresher sharks and big White Sea Bass from them. As well
as around get they land a sturgeon at times. Just make sure the pull is to
the front area of the boat. I do fish out of Hobie Outback, so I can steer
and pedal while fighting the fish. Have fished out of a Scupper Pro, and
with wind that is a problem as hard to paddle and fish at the same time.

Well, in defence of the kayak fishing. They go out up to about 3 miles and catch Ray over 150lb, Shark, Conger, even Marlin. It up there on Utube if you look, or take a look at. www.anglersafloat.com a UK kayak fishing forum.
