So, the gov't is supposed to go with the high bid? He'd be screaming about how the unions have the bid system wired, forcing the US taxpayer to pay inflated prices. Reply: Nope. But just stating the government is buying Wal-Mart also. And the cost may be a lot higher buying from China. Theywere over a year late on deliveries. We lost all the tax dollars and multipliers from wages spent here. May end up a lot more costly for maybe a 3% saving on purchases. That's the stupidity of accepting the lowest bid out of hand. It often ends up costing more. |
