LED replacements for bayonet base bulbs

Went to West marine yesterday to get some LED replacement bulbs for
the 12 V interior cabin lights on my sailboat. They had them for $35
each so I decided "No effin way". Went online today and found:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...?product=OTHER

$6.99 each.

Now I know West has to make a buck or two but that is absurd.

WM seems to be the appropriate ticker symbol for them.

I don't really see WalMart being in competition with the West Marine
customer. There are lots of places that have the stuff you find at
WalMart. I understand why WM is so expensive, the have a lot of dusty
yet expensive inventory and not that many customers. When a boat
dealer beats you on price you are in trouble.

I was talking about the stock sticker symbol WM. I don't think Wal-Mart
would want West Marine's business.

That is part of the problem. It costs a lot of money to keep that kind
of inventory in that many stores for the few number of customers they
have.
When I go to the Summerlin Square store the clerks outnumber the
customers most of the time. Usually I am the only one there. That is
typically on the first Monday of the month at around 9-10 AM. (after I
do water).

It was really a WM management failure that they didn't do a better job
of consolidating stores after they bought out Boat US. Having 4
stores within 10 miles of each other is not good business. Even if
they had long term leases they could have bought their way out,
sublet, or just left the property empty.
