Pretty good thought that even though new boat sales are at a really low eb, One cans till support jobs and the economy by adding options or making upgrades to what you already have. That's what I plan to do with the Marquis... |

Amazing what they are asking for them. ======= Got that right. The new boats that I like cost more than 3 of the 4 houses that we've owned. And these are relatively small boats. |

Yeah, new baots are high. And if you use Ebay as any kind of a barometer, people are posting used auctions with high starting bids and reserves on top of that. No more starting with a buck and working your way up to the reserve or making it an open war. Nothing like scaring off bidders that way. And that's for about any boat unless it's the charity auctions and most of those are parts junkers anyhow. |

The sellers of too many items are asking for "retail" prices on their reboxed "B" goods. |

True, but mine is like an old friend and it seems I dont' know who will die first. No, when I first got a cell phone, I would kill it quickly. Well, one lasted a day before it was baptized in Carlyle lake, and others jsut wouldn't hold up to the abuse I put them through. My wife finally got me an 'industrial strength' one whose case is heavier than most in it's class. it's been used and abused until the face is worn off to where you can see the electronics inside, and the numbers are non existent on the key pad but it's been a reliable old bugger. http://images.highspeedbackbone.net/...4-mainb-dr.jpg |
