I don't like it so I can destroy it. Who is the real enemy? Welcome to
the Taliban.

lol, I do. but let's suppose a war ship captain saw what he believed
to be an abandoned half-sinking boat. Wouldn't that sight of a
sinking boat look like it may be a hazard to navigation? And suppose
the captain tried radio contact with negative results? Wouldn't it be
prudent of him to take action and send a few well placed rounds from
his 8 inch guns?
I can just see the reaction of the captain of the Love Love as he's
blown 500 ft in the air: ***"what da f**k was that?"***

Reply:
He has already strained the rescue resources of a few harbors. Certain
things should just not be allowed unless you are required to buy some media
to inform everyone that you are not a disaster happening. And if they go
out to rescue you in your art boat that fakes a sinking, you pay for the
rescue costs.

You don't waste an 8" shell on a fiberglass rag merchant. You breakout
the .50's and give all of the GM's some time behind the handles.

Besides which ships in today's US Navy have 8" guns?
