Unitl i head down to the shore to get the boat ready for the water.... *ONLY* 135 (+/-) days to go! I'm almost counting the days myself. Here it is, the boats are put away and the months of Feb-Mar, my business drops to almost nothing. Roads are posted, no farming or construction, so then is the time to be working on my boat[s], but it's too blasted cold to do any fiberglass and do it right. So , when the weather warms, about April, then it's gonna be a scramble to 'gitter done!' Buy that time farmers will be tooling up and I'll be in the shop alot. So, it'll be work on boat in between jobs, that is IF I have time between jobs. One makes the money that the other one devours. Odd how it seems that way.... |

Would you believe that I know some guys who are upgrading their boats now for Spring? I wish! All of you guys who are just itching to work on boats should come on down to SWFL. I'm sure we could find a few little projects to whet your appetites. Bring a truck load of tools with you along with a second bathing suit, maybe a sweatshirt also since we've got a couple of cool 70 degree days in the forecast. |

The boat was fine, all snug as a bug in its shrinkwrap. I'd forgotten to put the lock on the hitch, so that gave me a reason for checking it out. Plus, it was a beautiful day so I had an excuse to take the motorcycle down the George Washington parkway to get to the marina. Nice little ride. Still haven't tuned the bike. But, it ran nicely in the sunshine. Maybe it was just the rain. -- Hope you're having a great day! John H |

We're coming to Disney World for a week around the 16th. Going with one of the daughters and her family. Flying. Bring that boat up to Cocoa. We spent two days at Disney...one in the magic kingdom and the other at the animal park. Got "comped" for both days because Disney was having computer problems with its computerized check-ins at our hotel, and it took an hour for us to get to the head of the line. So, the hotel arranged for us to get two free passes for two days. Bring a cheapo raincoat if you decide to ride the Kali River Rapids, because you will get soaked and the water is...cold. We had a nice meal in that park at the Yak & Yeta amd at "downtown Disney," we had another nice meal at Bongos Cuban Café, a restaurant created by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. |
