In an unusual press conference held today, Yale publicly apologized to
Harry Krause for its previous statement that he had never been on the Yale campus. Krause has maintained for years that he graduated from Yale. He even wrote of himself and his friends making fun of fellow Yale student George W. Bush. But Yale records, which are available on the Internet, never showed a Harry Krause as a student or a graduate of the institution. However Yale Provost, Christopher Robin, said today that Yale was retracting its previous statement which denied that Harry Krause had ever been on campus. “After an exhaustive investigation, we have determined,” said Provost Robin, “that in early 1965 Harry Krause was indeed on campus. We now have irrefutable evidence that 45 years ago Harry Krause walked onto our campus and ate a hotdog in the student cafeteria. After finishing the hotdog, Krause walked back off campus. Therefore, we are happy to make this correction and set the record straight.” |
