Most of you have this info in your head. But some of us aren't as bright.

My worksheet is somewhat shorter:

1. Move to Florida

2. Boat all year

Have you got room at your place?

Stop by any time. There's a lot of *very* reasonably priced property
on the market these days.

I'll have to wait until the kids retire and we can all move down there.

No one here knows as much about mechanics as I do. I've said it before.
But then again, I don't fix anything I own myself, I hire the best and
brightest to do it for me.

You do read your boat and motors manual...don't you??

You do realize that most manuals put out with a new boat aren't really
meant for a mechanic, don't you?

Duh!
Johnny is far from being a mechanic!
I would expect that most manuals supplied would cover normal care &
maintenance, including winterizing.

Otherwise, more like $100 to $150 sqft.

You can now buy decent waterfront properties, basically "move in"
condition, for less than $300K, sometimes much less.

Five years ago the same property would have been over $700K.

OK RTFM, the little book that comes with my 4 stroke EFI Merc says
Fill gas tank
Put stabilizer in tank
Remove float bowl, dump fuel and squirt in some stabilizer.
Remove prop and flush engine with it running 15 minutes(can you smell
the lawyers)
Change fluids
Squirt oil in spark plug holes and rotate it by hand, reinstall plugs
Store engine tilted down
Remove and store battery inside.

Herring asked here if he could use WD-40 as the oil to squirt in the
cylinder holes and whether he could use two stroke oil in the crankcase
of his four stroke outboard. This must be why he posts about travel
trailering, grandchildren, and the military.

There also are some really good condo buys on the other Florida coast,
beachside, from Bal Harbour to Fort Lauderdale.

Hey spoofer, you've stated here numerous times that you don't dare look
under the hood of your outboard.

That one on the river 2 up from my canal os still sitting empty. Bank
Of America hasn't even started the foreclosure yet. . It sat empty too
long. They really should have kept the renter in there for free. It is
a tear down now. The lot may still be worth $150-200k.- Hide quoted text -

Soooo.. What would it cost to put a new house up on it down there? Any
zoning issues? Taxes per year, estimate?

Panty Goddess is asking, but doesn't even have a job.....let alone any
money in reserve.
