today I get to meet them for lunch

Don't forget to stock up on groceries while in the cities before you get to
the rural stores where bread is $4. Have fun. There are some things I do
not like about living in Utah, but the scenery is NOT one of them.

Are you thinking of spending any time at a hotel, and sitting around the
pool with fatsos in Spandex so this qualifies as a "real" vacation. ;-)
Sorry, just had to ask.

I'm betting they both are in person. Mr. Herring probably hides his true
nature when confronted with actual people in face-to-face situations.

Actually both. John and Sandy are two of the most genuine people I've
met in quite a while. It was a pleasure to break bread with them. John
showed me their camper and I was impressed with the commodities and
features it had in such a small space. it has a slide out with gives
it much more spacious room then what you would think.

I told John to take 270 around St. Louis and just keep following the
signs that said "Kansas City" and that it would put them back on I-70
You don't want to go down town. Too much bumper to bumper traffic and
sudden stops.

No fun.

Anyhow, I was most pleased to buy lunch for them.

No hotels or motels. We'll be doing a lot of camping in our little
travel trailer. Right now we're in Sedalia, MO, where I went to high
school.

And for that lunch, I thank you, as does my wife!

We took 270 as you suggested, and had no problem getting around St L.
We're in Sedalia now, at a little campground just south of town. We
hadn't planned on coming this far south of I-70, but the information
in tThe he "Exit Now' directory was wrong. The campground it showed at
exit 78 was actually at exit 170, or thereabouts. But, we found
another.

Took Sandy by our old house, which is still standing after all these
years. That section of town has run downhill badly, but it was fun to
go by.

Sure enjoyed meeting you Tim. Had a great time. Thanks for the prayer.
It must have helped, 'cause we're still in one piece, even with me
driving!
