He's a pretty level headed guy in that he doesn't not advertise or carry water for either party. His column today, sorry I can't pull it up (probably tomorrow) is titled "Untruths distort elections". He lists a number of false beliefs by both Reps and Dems and one of them is that 1 in 3 Republicans and 1 in 10 Democrats beleive Obama is a Muslim.
